Ace highlife act Kwabena Kwabena will be joined by a number of famous Ghanaian couples to celebrate love as he headlines at least, two concerts this February.
Known countrywide for his infectious love melodies over the years, the “Ahyese” man will be in Kumasi for the “Odo Concert” on February 10 at the Miklin Hotel, and lead his annual “Vitamilk Love Night Concert” in Accra a week after. The Accra gig, slated for the +233 Jazz Bar, will feature guest appearances from Efya, Asantewaa, MzVee, and Adina.
Kwabena Kwabena recently released his new album “Ahyese”, a 9-track album which was led with 3 well-received singles (Tuamudaa, Siwagedem, and Adansie). Months before announcing the album, he published his memoire, “Past Days Ahead”, chronicling his compelling journey thus far.
Born George Kwabena Adu, Kwabena Kwabena first broke into the industry lending vocals on Da’ Hammer’s Sounds of Our Time compilation album, and with his first major single ASOR (ft. Kontihene). He has gone on to record endless hits over he years, and distinguished himself as among the country’s most respected contemporary highlife singers.
Kwabena is also a guitarist, draftsman and philanthropist, and is author of other critically received albums as Dabi, and Daakye. He has been associated with a tall list of esteemed contemporaries including Daddy Lumba, Samini, Sarkodie, Okyeame Kwame, Efya , and Becca.
